Services Blend In - Making them Difficult To Recognize (and Improve)
I bet most of us are unaware when we are using a service. But we use them every day to accomplish significant and insignificant tasks. Service Design, a non-aesthetic field of practice, is a collection of models, tools, and methods, used to assemble service components into a complete service that achieves a desired result. This most often involves meeting a business need or specification while satisfying users.

Granted, it’s not always so easy to identify a service, but you will find here some requirements to help distinguish a service from a product. if you can apply any one of these, it’s a service.

How To Design An Emergency Care System
Developing an understanding of emergency care may seem like a daunting task—especially if, like in Bangladesh, there is no working system in place. Policymakers in low- and middle-income countries who wish to strengthen their national emergency care systems can study and implement that framework.

Designing 'Living’ Buildings To Sense, Think and Act to Improve Sustainability
Our buildings have long been unresponsive, mute structures for housing, work and play. But the ongoing Fourth Industrial Revolution’s technological advances — high-speed connectivity, AI, the ability to acquire and analyze vast data streams — have enabled buildings to actively participate in their operations and use resources more efficiently.

Because buildings account for nearly nearly 50 percent of annual global CO2 emissions and 30 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in the US alone, modern solutions to reduce energy use are of paramount importance. Many corporate buildings have been in use for years; and now is the time for applying 4IR solutions to create “living buildings” that can sense, think and act — highly energy-efficient environments that can evolve with future technology.
